Last two days to vote early. Bring a friend.

Early voting ends Friday, Oct. 30. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Find your polling places and hours at VoteTexas.gov; during early voting you may vote at any early voting location in your county.

Get your friends and neighbors to the polls

  1. Make a list of five. Call or text each one today: "When are you voting?"
  2. Offer a ride. Older neighbors and people without a car are the easiest votes to lose.
  3. Curbside voting. A voter who cannot go inside without help or risk to health may vote at the curb. (Tex. Elec. Code sec. 64.009)
  4. Help in the booth. A voter may pick anyone to help, except an employer or union officer or agent. (secs. 64.032, 64.0322)
  5. Driving seven or more curbside voters? The election officer will ask you to fill out a form. (sec. 64.009(f))
  6. Check the ID before you leave. No more than four years expired.
  7. Phones away inside. Write your choices on paper beforehand. (sec. 61.014)
  8. No campaign gear within 100 feet of the entrance. (sec. 61.003)
  9. Never pay or reward anyone for a vote. A free ride with no strings is fine. (sec. 276.015)
  10. Forward this and ask your friends if they have voted.

Bring an acceptable photo ID

Texas driver's license, election ID certificate or personal ID card; Texas license to carry; U.S. military ID with photo; U.S. citizenship certificate with photo; U.S. passport. Expired up to four years is accepted. Cannot reasonably get one? Ask about the Reasonable Impediment Declaration. (Tex. Elec. Code sec. 63.0101)

See something wrong?

Tell the presiding judge first and write down the time, place and names. Then call the Secretary of State, 1-800-252-VOTE (8683), or file Form 25-4.
