Expansion of State Commission on Judicial Conduct Filing Locations

The State Commission on Judicial Conduct must establish brick-and-mortar locations across Texas for in-person filing of complaints. This reform eliminates barriers created by mail-only and complex sworn-form requirements, ensuring all Texans can exercise their right to redress judicial misconduct without undue hardship.

Note.

Associated RPT support: Preservation of Constitution plank (Judicial Overreach section), Citizen Rights plank, Parents’ Rights plank, Family Law plank, and Rule No. 4 of the RPT Rules (adoption by reference of the Texas Constitution). This resolution does not duplicate any existing 2024 RPT Platform plank.

The current mail-only process perverts the RPT Preamble and Principles by impairing constitutional due process and open-courts protections, undermining the Party’s mission to safeguard families and children from judicial overreach in family courts.
